Glass Mosaic - Geode Slices - And other Things

The square mosaic piece is actually and 18 inch square glass table top. I cut glass and glued it to the table top and then grouted to create a stained glass mosaic on glass. I used glass tiles around the edge and four nuggets. The center is a rondel. I put sealer on the grout and I actually use the table top outdoors all Summer on a lighted table. It really looks nice at night.

The next piece is a cross that is used in United Methodist churches. The thin, curved pieces were pretty tricky to cut and grind without breaking them.

The final piece is called "Magical Geodes". The geode slices and the nuggets are set into openings I cut into copper shim. I then soldered all over the shim with rough solder.
